The Cigna Group is dedicated to improving the health and vitality of those they serve. They are seeking an Application Development Senior Advisor to perform back-end, middleware, and front-end development of applications, design data applications, and architect major systems and subsystems.

Responsibilities

Perform back-end, middleware, and front-end development of applications

Design/develop data applications and event-driven services in a distributed environment

Architect major systems and subsystems utilizing understanding of available technology, tools, and existing designs

Identify new use cases and development of cloud-based solutions, demos, and reusable assets

Develop cloud-native applications using Agile methodology and programming languages

Process the search for business providers and make data available to downstream applications

Design data applications and implement methods, processes, tools, and analyses to sift through large amounts of data

Participate in prototyping activities and assess business problems, system needs, and external system design

Gather business requirements, and identify/document all business, technical, product, and process requirements

Articulate business objectives aligned to technical specifications and provide business stakeholders with advice on engineering matters

Perform business process mapping, stakeholder management, gap analysis, and feasibility studies

Provide effort estimations and timeline commitments through participation in coordinated planning sessions

Research/evaluate alternative solutions and recommend cost-effective application programming solutions

Required

Position requires a bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Information Technology or related plus five years of software development experience within the healthcare domain, or a master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Information Technology or related plus two years of software development experience within the healthcare domain

Experience must include Amazon Web Services (AWS), Node JS, MongoDB, Java, JavaScript, Eclipse, VSCode, Spring, SpringBoot, Jira, and Agile methodology

If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload
