Responsibilities
Independently manage and execute engineering projects for both U.S. production sites
Design, implement, and maintain camera-based earn-a-label solutions (e.g., part counting, box fill verification, completeness checks)
Update existing products and add new products to the company’s Manufacturing Execution System (MES)
Design and realize assembly aids and simple assembly stations from concept through production implementation
Develop, implement, and sustain 5S solutions and continuously improve existing workstations
Select components and equipment for assembly aids and production tools
Install and commission assembly stations directly on the shop floor
Support, maintain, and improve automated robot cells and assembly systems
Implement poka-yoke solutions to prevent avoidable errors
Drive process improvements in injection molding and assembly operations
Qualification
Required
Engineering degree (Mechanical, Mechatronics, Automation, Industrial, or similar) preferred
Basic programming skills required; Python experience preferred (camera systems, data handling, automation tasks)
Skilled in robotics, PLC/SPS programming, and/or visual inspection methods
Basic CAD skills required (design of fixtures, assembly aids, simple stations)
Ability to execute small-to-medium design projects end-to-end
Strong 5S mindset and continuous improvement (Kaizen) orientation
Hands-on, pragmatic approach with strong problem-solving skills
Willingness to travel domestically up to 50% between U.S. locations; occasional international travel may be required
English required; German is a plus
