The Louisiana State Police is dedicated to ensuring public safety in Louisiana. They are seeking an Auditor to oversee compliance audits and provide technical support within the Gaming Enforcement Division, ensuring accuracy and integrity in financial operations and audits.
Government Administration
Responsibilities
Serves as the state government’s management arm and financial operations hub, ensuring efficient administrative support across agencies
Oversees Louisiana’s capital construction program, managing infrastructure development and long-term investment projects
Develops the state budget and allocates financial resources to support government operations and strategic priorities
Provides statewide technology services and supports digital infrastructure for government agencies
Administers federal recovery funds for hurricane relief and guides agencies through purchasing and contracting processes, including securing state and federal community development grants
Auditors conduct analytical procedures and accountability tests by analyzing and comparing operational data, performing simultaneous audit controls to prevent errors or fraud, and making unannounced inspections of financial records, reconciliations, and casino operations to ensure accuracy, compliance, and integrity of reported information
Qualification
Required
Three years of experience in accounting or auditing; OR
Six years of full-time experience in any field plus twenty-four semester hours in one or a combination of the following: accounting, auditing, business, finance, management, economics, quantitative methods, or information systems; OR
A bachelor's degree with twenty-four semester hours in one or a combination of the following: accounting, auditing, business, finance, management, economics, quantitative methods, or information systems; OR
A bachelor's degree in accounting, auditing, finance, business administration, management, economics, information systems, quantitative methods, or statistics; OR
A bachelor's degree plus a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) or Certified Government Audit Professional (CGAP) designation; OR
An advanced degree in accounting, auditing, finance, business administration, management, economics, information systems, quantitative methods, or statistics; OR
A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license, Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) designation
