RESIDENT PROJECT REPRESENTATIVE
The City of Shreveport is seeking a Resident Project Representative (RPR) to act as the City's direct representative for infrastructure construction projects. The RPR will observe construction activities, resolve conflicts, maintain documentation, and serve as a liaison between the contractor and the public.

Responsibilities
Observes construction of water, sewer, road and drainage infrastructure projects
Observes any required testing during construction
Observes material delivered to the site in accordance with material submittals and/or shop drawings
The RPR is the City liaison for the contractor, other utilities and the public on the job site
Resolve potential construction conflicts
Maintain daily reports, job meeting minutes and quantity documentation
Maintain record of schedule and the contractor's activities in regards to the schedule
Maintain records of time, material and equipment that may be paid under a force account
Reviews and verifies monthly pay applications
Provide protection to the City from defects and deficiencies in the work
Prepares as-built records to provide to the City for use in record drawings
Performs other duties as required or assigned
Qualification
Required
High school diploma, GED, or the equivalent
A degree from a recognized college or university in construction technology, construction management or a similar degree or four (4) years of experience as a RPR, preferred to include at least two (2) years of experience in water, sewer, road or drainage construction or a minimum of eight (8) years experience in field construction work, preferred to include at least two (2) years of experience in water, sewer, road or drainage construction
Must attend and obtain continuing education courses and certifications as determined by the City Engineer. If assigned to projects which include water and sewer, the employee must obtain Class 1 & 2 operators license in Wastewater Treatment and Water Distribution within the first 18 months of employment
Must possess a valid driver's license
