Responsibilities
Civil municipal legal work involving a wide variety of legal issues, cases, and projects
Able to work independently on legal matters and will work with more experienced attorneys on more complex legal matters
Will provide solid legal advice in the following areas: Public Information Act, Contracts, Labor and Employment, Litigation, Court Prosecution, Real Estate, Eminent Domain, Compliance, etc
Able to manage a litigation case load
Regularly handling court appearances and depositions
Drafting/reviewing pleadings, motions, and discovery
Communicating with clients and provide status reports
Qualification
Required
J.D. degree from an ABA-accredited law school
Current Bar Admission
2-3 years of experience as a practicing attorney currently employed in a city or county government court environment
Superior written and oral communication skills
Preferred
Trial and trial preparation experience is a plus!
