Senior Principal Engineering Cross Product Team Lead Portsmouth RI Onsite

They are seeking a Senior Principal Engineering Cross Product Team Lead to lead a team of life cycle engineers, ensuring that products are safe, reliable, maintainable, and delivered on time while executing the sustainment strategy for naval programs.

Responsibilities
Lead a team of life cycle engineers with wide range of expertise
Drive LCE activities such that they are executed on time and within budget, resolving issues where needed
Assure defined requirements are consistently met in all phases of the product life cycle and ensure products are highly influenced by life cycle disciplines
Plan the sustainment strategy and develop the roadmap for sustainment activities
Execute the sustainment roadmap, ensuring sustainment is integrated through the life cycle of the program
Interface regularly with Supply Chain, Quality, other functions and the Program Management Team
Lead proposal efforts on all relevant scope and generate inputs
Prepare and present results in reports and briefings to internal or external stakeholders
This position requires domestic travel, which is not expected to exceed 15%
Qualification
Required
Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Typically requires a Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience
Experience with Reliability, Maintainability, System Safety, Integrated Product Support, and/or Sustainment
Preferred
Strong communication, interpersonal skills and ability to develop strong customer relationships
Experience developing sustainment strategy and/or and executing product support activities on DoD naval undersea and/or naval surface platform programs
Experience using cost, schedule and program management tools such as Earned Value Management System (EVMS), Estimate at Completion (EAC) process, Risk/Opportunity management, or similar tools and processes
Experience with leadership and managing multi-disciplined teams
Demonstrated comprehensive planning skills with the ability to analyze technical and financial data and reports
