Responsibilities
Improve and develop new thermal spray coating inspection and test methods to improve product quality
Implement and lead a digital monitoring system for quality assurance and preventative maintenance
Integrate sensors, IoT devices and data analysis tools into the production process for real-time monitoring of production lines
Perform root cause analysis and take corrective action as required
Train production personnel in new testing methods and digital monitoring systems and update manufacturing instructions as required
Collaborate and work closely with other departments, including production, R&D, IT and maintenance
Eventually roll out inspection methods and takeaways within the Siemens Energy network
Qualification
Required
Candidate should have a BS in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering or other related field and 5 years of tried experience
Professional experience in quality assurance
Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to work in interdisciplinary teams and work off-shifts when required
Preferred
Experience in the development and application of HVOF or APS coating processes is an advantage in addition to Knowledge of Robot Studio or offline programming
Preferred knowledge of mechanical testing methodologies and metallurgical examination and evaluation practices
Additional certifications in related fields are an advantage as well as knowledge of materials in the field of inorganic non-metallic materials (ceramics, ceramic coatings)
Familiarity with Lean and or Six Sigma philosophies
