Responsibilities
Lead all plant logistics activities including warehousing, inventory movement, transportation, and receiving
Supervise, coach, and develop materials and logistics staff
Manage inventory accuracy through cycle counts and physical inventories
Ensure materials and inventory are available to support the production schedule
Partner with Purchasing and Planning to reduce expedited freight and control costs
Track and manage freight spend
Support MRP, purchasing, and inbound materials
Manage receiving, storage, and internal material flow
Analyze logistics and inventory data to identify issues and improvement opportunities
Develop strategies to streamline processes, simplify packaging, and reduce costs
Work with inventory control systems
Coordinate with suppliers, manufacturers, and customers as needed
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Operations, Logistics, Business, Engineering, or related field
5+ years of experience in logistics, warehouse, or transportation operations
Experience operating forklifts or similar industrial equipment
Clean driving record (past 2 years)
Forklift Certification
Driver's License
Ability to Commute: Indianapolis, IN 46241
Preferred
Experience in plant or industrial logistics
Strong knowledge of inventory, supply chain, and warehouse operations
Proven ability to lead, train, and motivate a team
Highly organized with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Comfortable working with ERP/MRP systems and 3PL providers
Clear and professional communicator who works well across departments
