Responsibilities
Clean and maintain floors in resident rooms, hallways, common areas, and other designated spaces
Perform routine cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and polishing floors
Follow established cleaning protocols and infection control guidelines to ensure a hygienic environment
Use cleaning equipment and chemicals safely and in accordance with manufacturer instructions and facility policies
Report maintenance or safety concerns to the appropriate department
Assist with additional custodial duties as assigned by the supervisor
Qualification
Required
Previous experience in floor care, custodial work, or a similar role; experience in a healthcare or long-term care environment is preferred
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards of cleanliness
Ability to follow instructions and adhere to safety guidelines
Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends if required
Physical capability to perform cleaning tasks, including standing for extended periods and handling light equipment
