Responsibilities
Focuses in real-estate law, contract law, public bid law, and state procedures
Collaborates with other lawyers, vendors, or government agencies to execute paperwork or complete transactions
Provides legal counsel for Office of State Parks (OSP) and is responsible for providing technical legal direction, advice, assistance, consultation, and representation to the Assistant Secretary and Deputy Assistant Secretary for OSP
Represents the department in litigations before trial and appellate courts and administrative tribunals, such as department land transactions, etc
Prepares, assists in drafting, and reviews the preparation and negotiation of contracts, requests for proposal, and other legal documents, such as Title 38, Friends Group agreements, concession agreements, contracts, land agreements, etc
Manages, directs, and supervises the Public-Private Partnership (P3) program. Maintain points of contact, prepare and review legal documents, monitor payments, etc
Qualification
Required
Possession of a current Louisiana license to practice law
