They are seeking a Tax and Accounting Strategist to lead bookkeeping and tax strategy, serving as the primary point of contact for clients and delivering proactive financial guidance.
Responsibilities
Serve as the primary point of contact for bookkeeping, accounting, and tax strategy for assigned clients
Build trusted relationships with business owners and individual clients
Provide proactive guidance and insight based on financial data and tax considerations
Lead bookkeeping and accounting services including monthly close, reconciliations, and financial reporting
Review and interpret financial statements to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
Ensure accurate, timely, and organized financial records
Deliver proactive tax planning and strategy throughout the year
Prepare or review tax projections and planning scenarios
Identify tax optimization opportunities and planning strategies for clients
Coordinate tax preparation and compliance as needed
Collaborate closely with Associate Advisors and the Investment Strategist to integrate tax strategy into holistic planning
Participate in client meetings and planning discussions
Support business owners with entity structure, cash flow planning, and growth decisions
Contribute to building and refining the firm’s bookkeeping and tax service offering
Help define workflows, pricing, and service models
Participate in content creation, education, and client facing communication related to tax strategy
Qualification
Required
Three or more years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or tax planning
CPA, EA, or strong bookkeeping background required
Experience working directly with business owners and entrepreneurial clients
Strong understanding of small business accounting, tax planning, and compliance
Comfort explaining financial and tax concepts in clear, approachable language
Client facing experience and consultative mindset
Highly organized, proactive, and comfortable operating independently
Interest in building and growing a service offering within a firm
