Responsibilities

Assisting with the after school program; transporting program participants to facility; providing participants with tutoring and homework help

Assists the Center Supervisor in the planning and implementation of afterschool and summer camp programs and lesson plans

Takes a leadership role in the absence of the Center Supervisor

This position would be expected to take on a supervisory role when the center director is not available

Drives van or bus to pick up enrollees at school and for special trips; ensures safety procedures and adhered to and accounts for all passengers

Supervises children enrolled in after school activities at a recreation center; participates in program planning and evaluation

Assists with activities such as arts and crafts, drama, nature study, indoor games, sporting contests, table games and special events

Assists with snack time; washes cups and cleans area when required

Provides tutoring and assists children with homework

Performs general maintenance work as required

Collects money and fees from program participants

Keeps records of program attendance

Performs related tasks as required
