Our client is seeking a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead the organization’s technology vision, architecture, and execution while partnering closely with executive leadership to drive scalable growth, innovation, and operational excellence. This executive role is responsible for aligning technology strategy with business objectives, building high-performing engineering teams, and ensuring the reliability, security, and scalability of the company’s platforms and systems.

Responsibilities

Define and execute the company’s overall technology strategy and roadmap in alignment with business goals and long-term growth plans
Lead all technology functions, including software engineering, platform architecture, infrastructure, DevOps, security, and IT (as applicable)
Partner with the CEO and executive leadership team to translate product and business strategy into scalable technical solutions
Oversee the design, development, deployment, and maintenance of reliable, secure, and high-performing systems and applications
Establish architectural standards, development best practices, and technology governance to ensure quality, consistency, and scalability
Build, mentor, and scale a high-performing engineering organization, including hiring, performance management, and leadership development
Ensure robust cybersecurity, data privacy, and compliance practices are embedded across all technology operations
Evaluate and implement new technologies, tools, and platforms to improve product capabilities, speed to market, and operational efficiency
Collaborate closely with Product, Data, Operations, and Finance leaders to prioritize initiatives, manage trade-offs, and deliver measurable business impact
Manage technology budgets, vendor relationships, and third-party partners to optimize cost, performance, and outcomes

Required

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
12+ years of progressive experience in software engineering or technology leadership roles
Proven experience leading large-scale, distributed engineering teams and complex technology platforms
Strong background in modern software architectures, cloud infrastructure, and development best practices
Demonstrated ability to align technology strategy with business outcomes at the executive level
Exceptional leadership, communication, and decision-making skills

Preferred

Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Business (MBA)
Prior experience as a CTO, VP of Engineering, or equivalent senior technology leader
Experience scaling technology organizations in high-growth, startup, or SaaS environments
Deep knowledge of cloud platforms, data architecture, security, and modern DevOps practices
Track record of leading digital transformation or platform modernization initiatives
