Responsibilities

Develop advanced data science solutions as defined by the Director, Data Science

Perform hands-on data analysis, model development, training, testing, and deployment

Research and apply new methods, algorithms, and modeling techniques

Write production-ready code and work with ML engineers to deploy models

Collaborate with data engineers to build robust data pipelines and integrate solutions with business platforms

Support model development for customer engagement and wellness initiatives

Manage external vendors involved in the data science development process

Required

Advanced degree (Master's or Ph.D.) in a quantitative discipline: Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Engineering, Computer Science, Econometrics, Actuarial Science, or related fields

Experience solving complex problems and applying judgment in dynamic environments

Strong business acumen and ability to translate data into actionable insights

Familiarity with designing experiments (e.g., A/B testing), working with claims or customer experience data

Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills

Self-driven, with a strong focus on continuous learning

Applied Experience With: Data Acquisition & Transformation: Working with APIs, SQL, NoSQL

Data visualization using Python, R, etc

Database Management: Relational (SQL) and unstructured (NoSQL) databases

Graph databases (Cypher/GraphDB)

Model Deployment: MDLC, CI/CD/CT pipelines (Jenkins, CloudBees, Harness, etc.)

ML pipeline frameworks (MLFlow, AWS SageMaker)

Statistics & Computing: Deep knowledge of statistics, probability, linear algebra, time series analysis, and experimentation
