Mid LevelRipple 2 Wave Foundation is seeking an Assistant Executive Director to support the Executive Director in planning and executing programs and events. This hands-on leadership role involves engaging with volunteers and the community, ensuring smooth operation of initiatives, and representing the Executive Director at various engagements.

Responsibilities
Lead outreach programs, events, and community projects in person, ensuring volunteers are guided and initiatives run smoothly
Represent the Executive Director at events, meetings, and public engagements when they are unavailable
Collaborate with the Event Coordinator and leadership team to maintain consistent program execution
Assist in planning and implementing programs and outreach efforts aligned with organizational goals
Support the Executive Director in executing operational plans and initiatives
Actively engage with community members, schools, nonprofits, and volunteers during events
Foster a positive, collaborative volunteer experience, providing mentorship and guidance
Ensure programs are inclusive, culturally responsive, and meet community needs
Provide regular updates, reports, and insights on program impact, community needs, and potential risks
Collaborate with the Executive Director and Chief Culture & Strategy Officer to maintain alignment and efficiency across initiatives
Participate in strategic planning, fundraising, and program development as needed
Qualification
Required
Hands-on leadership role in supporting the Executive Director
Ability to plan, lead, and execute programs and events
In-person guidance of volunteers
Direct involvement in outreach projects
Oversight of initiatives on the ground
Representation of the Executive Director at events, meetings, and community engagements
Mission-driven individual who thrives in action-oriented roles
Support strategic and operational leadership
Engagement with community members, schools, nonprofits, and volunteers during events
Fostering a positive, collaborative volunteer experience
Ensuring programs are inclusive and culturally responsive
Providing regular updates, reports, and insights on program impact
Collaboration with the Executive Director and Chief Culture & Strategy Officer
Participation in strategic planning, fundraising, and program development as needed
Preferred
Experience in nonprofit leadership, program management, or community development preferred, but not required
Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated ability to lead volunteers, collaborate with a team, and engage with community stakeholders
