Clinical Data & Interoperability Manager

The Clinical Data & Interoperability Manager is responsible for ensuring high-quality clinical and healthcare data management, serving as the primary point of contact for data governance and delivery standards across clinical trials and healthcare system integrations.

Responsibilities

Serve as the primary internal and client-facing contact for all Data Management activities, including data collection, delivery, reconciliation, and database lock
Lead routine status meetings with Sponsors, CROs, and internal teams; prepare agendas and distribute meeting minutes
Serve as the primary point of contact for Data Change Requests (DCRs) and data-related issue escalation
Work closely with internal data coordinators, project managers, and engineering teams to resolve data quality, consistency, and compliance issues
Lead the development, review, and finalization of data transfer specifications across all ZEPHYRx-supported clinical modalities
Collaborate with Sponsors and CRO partners to define study-specific data requirements, formats, and delivery timelines
Define and document study-specific data processing guidelines in collaboration with Sponsors
Partner with internal project management and engineering teams to support study setup, including demographics, endpoints, visit schedules, and validation requirements
Maintain alignment between study-specific requirements and ZEPHYRx’s canonical data definitions
Ensure high customer satisfaction by delivering accurate, validated data on time and in sponsor-specified formats
Generate and upload sample and test data from study-specific validation environments
Manage routine data transfers from production environments
Maintain comprehensive and audit-ready Data Management documentation, including Data Transfer Specifications, Data Transfer Agreements, and DCR logs
Identify out-of-scope data requests and escalate appropriately for change order evaluation
Manage database lock activities and timelines in coordination with Sponsors
Serve as the data domain lead for API- and EMR-based integrations with healthcare systems and third-party platforms
Own and govern external-facing data definitions, data dictionaries, and mappings used across both clinical trial and EMR integrations
Define which data elements are delivered externally, including decisions regarding raw versus derived values, units of measure, and clinical interpretation
Collaborate with engineering, product, and security teams to ensure integrations are scalable, compliant, and aligned with ZEPHYRx’s platform architecture
Coordinate with external stakeholders (health systems, integration vendors, implementation partners) on data validation, testing, and deployment activities
Develop and maintain integration documentation, including data flow diagrams, interface specifications, and data dictionaries
Ensure consistency and alignment between clinical trial data standards and healthcare delivery data requirements

Required

Strong experience in clinical data management within regulated environments (clinical trials and/or digital health)
Demonstrated ability to define, govern, and maintain data standards across multiple systems and external stakeholders
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with Sponsors, CROs, engineers, and healthcare partners
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex requirements into clear and actionable specifications
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
Comfort operating in cross-functional, fast-moving environments with multiple concurrent projects
Advanced proficiency with MS Office or Google Workspace
Bachelor's degree in science, statistics, engineering, computer science, or a related field required
3–8 years of experience in clinical data management, digital health data systems, or healthcare interoperability

Preferred

Prior experience supporting sponsor data transfers, external system integrations, or multi-system clinical platforms strongly preferred
