Responsibilities
Develop sourcing strategies that align with organizational goals/objectives, budget targets and operational requirements to minimize risk
Perform data collection and conduct spend analysis at various levels to identify opportunities
Conduct market research to identify new technologies and supplier trends
Complete robust spend analytics to mine opportunities
Craft negotiation strategies and close deals with optimal terms
Manage RFx (RFI, RFP, RFQ) processes and lead sourcing events
Negotiate contracts that support sourcing strategies
Develop contract terms and conditions that minimize risks
Develop and route the contract cover sheet
Identify and vet preferred supplier capabilities and financial stability
Determine optimal supplier selection methods
Manage cross-organizational activities with suppliers
Develop strong relationships with end-users through consistent meetings
Gather spend requirements to support business operations
Act as internal consultant, facilitator, and problem solver
Understand supplier business and future technology developments
Gather performance data to inform future sourcing events
Develop annual individual development plan to gain additional knowledge in healthcare industry and procurement functions
Qualification
Required
Four (4) to seven (7) years of sourcing experience
Demonstrated project management skills
Experience negotiating contracts
Ability to lead sourcing events and build relationships
Experience leading meetings with suppliers and customers
Preferred
Experience in healthcare sourcing
