ADABAS Natural Programmer
Perennial Resources International is a leading data center development and management firm based in Nanuet, NY, specializing in high-availability computing environments. They are seeking experienced ADABAS/Natural Programmers to support ongoing development, maintenance, and modernization efforts within their mainframe applications team.

Responsibilities
Design, code, test, and implement Natural programs for business applications running on ADABAS databases
Maintain, enhance, and troubleshoot existing Natural/ADABAS applications
Work with cross-functional teams to analyze requirements and translate them into technical solutions
Support batch and online programs running under CICS and z/OS environments
Perform performance tuning, debugging, and optimization of Natural code and ADABAS queries
Participate in migration, integration, and possible modernization initiatives involving mainframe systems
Document code changes, technical specifications, and operational procedures as required
Provide on-call or after-hours support as needed to support critical production systems (rare but possible)
Qualification
Required
Five plus years of hands-on experience with Software AG Natural programming
Strong knowledge of ADABAS (file structures, utilities, data access optimization)
Experience working within IBM z/OS, JCL, CICS, and mainframe batch environments
Proven ability to analyze complex business requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions
Experience with debugging tools, performance tuning, and production support
Strong communication skills and ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Experience with NaturalONE or Natural for Windows
Familiarity with data center operations or managed hosting environments
Exposure to modernization or integration projects (APIs, middleware, or distributed systems)
Knowledge of version control and change-management tools typically used in mainframe environments
