Kids Club Program Director
Lakeland Hills Family YMCA is a community-focused organization dedicated to youth development. The Kids Club Director provides leadership and oversight for the YMCA’s Before and After School Programs, off-site summer camps, and vacation camps, ensuring program quality and compliance while building strong relationships with families and community partners.

Responsibilities
Oversee Before and After School Programs, including scheduling, curriculum, and continuous improvement
Manage off-site summer camps and support vacation camps and special youth events
Ensure programs are safe, inclusive, and developmentally appropriate
Recruit, hire, supervise, and evaluate staff across multiple locations
Lead staff training in safety, behavior management, curriculum, and YMCA values
Foster a positive, accountable, and growth-oriented team culture
Maintain NJ State childcare licensing compliance
Serve as primary contact for licensing inspections and audits
Ensure all required staff certifications and trainings are completed
Develop and monitor program budgets
Track enrollment, payroll, expenses, and revenue
Identify opportunities for program growth and efficiency
Build strong partnerships with school districts, families, and community organizations
Respond promptly and professionally to family concerns and inquiries
Obtain and maintain YMCA CPR/First Aid Instructor and Babysitting Instructor certifications
Deliver certification courses as needed (YMCA support provided)
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
Minimum 3 years of experience in youth programs, childcare, camps, or school-age enrichment
At least 2 years of supervisory experience in a multi-site environment
Knowledge of NJ childcare licensing (or willingness to learn)
Strong leadership, communication, organization, and conflict-resolution skills
Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional mornings, evenings, and weekends
