Associate Vice President - Health Sciences and Technical Education

Gwinnett Technical College is seeking an Associate Vice President for Health Sciences and Technical Education. This role provides leadership for health science and technical education programs, ensuring alignment with the College’s mission and overseeing instruction and faculty evaluation.

Government Administration

Responsibilities

Provides leadership for health science and technical education programs. · Ensures credit and non-credit programs align with the College’s mission and goals; · Oversees instruction in on-campus, off-campus, and online environments; · Leads planning and evaluation of curricula and student learning outcomes; · Assists with recruitment initiatives; · Supervises and evaluates of faculty and staff
Manages accreditation processes and ensures compliance. · Develops and/or assists with the creation of policies and procedures; · Supports strategic planning
Collaborates with other college divisions, community organizations, and industry partners. · Participates in internal and external meetings; · Promotes the College in the community; · Serves on various boards and/or committees
Manages budgets, maintains control structures, reviews operational efficiency, and supports special projects. · Reviews relevant data and alerts vice president of trends and recommended actions; · Performs research and analysis; · Assists with the design and execution of special events, projects and activities
Performs other duties as assigned. · Teaches courses as needed; · May represent the vice president in their absence

Required

Bachelor's degree in a related field (health sciences, business sciences, public and professional services)
Five (5) years of related work experience

Preferred

Master's or doctoral degree in a related field
At least three (3) years of employment as a full-time instructor teaching in a related field (health sciences, business sciences, public and professional services)
Experience leading and managing teams, projects, budgets, and grants
Guiding curriculum development and student support programs to create a positive learning environment
Collecting, assessing, and reporting data
Ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and accreditation standards
Building and maintaining relationships with businesses and community stakeholders to achieve organizational goals
Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills
