Responsibilities
Responsible for analyzing the requirements, operational problems, specifications and change requests
Produce test plans and test cases to determine presence and scope of potential code defects
Monitor accurate and thorough test cases, scripts and data with pre-determined results within specified scheduled dates
Perform test execution of all assigned test cases
Log defects in system in record
Research and provide technical support on operational/test system defects and propose solutions
Analyzes test results to ensure existing functionality is not compromised, new functionality is working as designed, and recommends corrective action
Maintains documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modification of software
Provides feedback in preparation of technical appraisals of programming languages, systems, and computation software
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree
Information Technology, Engineering or Computer Science
3 years Experience in a software development environment
In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required in addition to the required work experience
Preferred
Knowledge and understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC)
Knowledge of software test requirements and protocols
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
Ability to recognize, analyze, and solve a variety of problems
Knowledge of wireless communications and network systems
Intermediate programming skills on a programming language
Familiarity with databases
Knowledge of Microsoft Office products or equivalent
