Responsibilities
Provide thermally disinfected and sterile reusable medical devices to all areas for use in patient care, in accordance with policies and procedures developed by Sterilising Services Management
Work in all areas of the Sterilising Services to maintain the high standards in all processes involved with sterilisation and other procedures performed within the unit as well as acknowledging the service contribution to patient care
Reprocess reusable Medical Devices (RMD’s) used in Health Services Organisations (HSO’s) adhering to AS/NZS 4187:2014
Qualification
Required
Completion of an accredited Certificate in Sterilisation Technology at TAFE
Experience in a sterilising department environment
Good written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to listen and undertake direction
