Responsibilities

Create and maintain logical and physical data models using ERWIN Data Modeler

Perform reverse and forward engineering of Oracle and MS SQL database structures

Conduct current-state assessments of existing ERWIN models and generate updated ERWIN (.erwin) files

Develop and maintain data dictionaries, metadata artifacts, and model documentation

Maintain a version-controlled repository of data models

Analyze and identify data integrity, consistency, and duplication issues; provide detailed reports and recommendations

Support SCDMV data governance and compliance initiatives

Collaborate closely with database engineers, developers, architects, and business analysts to translate functional requirements into accurate data models

Provide best practices related to data modeling, metadata management, database design, and performance tuning

Provide supplemental Oracle and SQL Server DBA support as required, including backup/restore, security updates, version upgrades, and daily ticket support (may involve occasional after-hours work)

Required

3+ years of professional data modeling experience using ERWIN Data Modeler or similar tool

3+ years of experience with Oracle 18/19 DBA and/or SQL Server 2019/2022

Experience performing reverse/forward engineering and maintaining ERWIN model repositories

Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams in structured IT environments

Minimum: High School Diploma (required)

Preferred

3+ years of database backup and restore experience, including DD Boost

3+ years of Oracle Grid Control (OEM) experience

Experience with Oracle ASM

SQL Server DBA certification

Background in public-sector or government technology environments (preferred but not required)

Preferred: Oracle Certified Associate (OCA) or other Oracle database certifications
