Designs and builds relational databases

Develops strategies for data acquisitions, archive recovery, and implementation of a database

Cleans and maintains the database by removing and deleting old data

Must be able to design, develop and manipulate database management systems, data warehouses and multidimensional databases

Responsible for making sure an organization's strategic goals are optimized through the use of enterprise data standards

This frequently involves creating and maintaining a centralized registry of metadata

Has working knowledge of EIR Accessibility standards and assistive technologies

Ensures that all user interfaces for database administration and inputting, viewing, outputting data(via reports) are compliant with accessibility standards

The Senior Data Architect & Analytics Lead will play a pivotal role in advancing the data infrastructure and analytics initiatives for the HHSC CDA team

This position is designed for a seasoned professional with in-depth expertise in data design and advanced analytics

Responsibilities include designing and implementing robust data structures to support analytics projects, developing comprehensive database and table designs for optimized data storage and retrieval, and utilizing advanced analytics tools and techniques to extract insights that facilitate decision-making

The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of data strategies with organizational goals and provide thought leadership on data modeling and analytics best practices

Has working knowledge of EIR Accessibility standards and assistive technologies

Ensures that all user interfaces for database administration and inputting, viewing, outputting data(via reports) are compliant with accessibility standards

Proven experience as a Data Architect or similar role

Strong understanding of data modeling, database design, and data governance principles

Familiarity with analytics tools and frameworks

Excellent communication and collaboration skills
