Responsibilities

Conduct technical evaluations and in-field verification of existing MEP systems

Perform rigorous heating/cooling load calculations to ensure new equipment is right-sized to meet the needs of the building

Execute full-cycle design for HVAC ductwork and piping, ensuring layouts are optimized for ease of maintenance and long-term serviceability

Evaluate current design criteria to provide solutions that improve building performance through operational changes and controls optimization beyond a standard like-for-like approach

Produce stamped construction documents and technical specifications that meet current codes while exceeding industry standards for durability

Lead engineering efforts across a wide spectrum of environments in the commercial retrofit market, with projects ranging from standard office buildings to complex mechanical infrastructure in facilities like hospitals/labs, manufacturing facilities, and data centers

Serve as the technical lead when coordinating with building automation, structural, and electrical teams to ensure a seamless, cohesive final product

Assist the sales team with customer visits to act as the 'voice of engineering', building trust through technical expertise and transparent communication

Explore new technologies and stay abreast of current industry and market trends to ensure designs remain relevant for decades, not just years
