The Assistant Accountant role will be responsible for transactional processing and administration within the finance team, ensuring financial information is accurate and compliant with IFRS accounting standards.

Responsibilities
Processing accounts payable and employee expense claims
Reconciling bank accounts and credit cards
Assisting with accounts receivable and invoice creation
Responding to queries relating to the AP and some AR processes
Assisting in managing the suppliers register
Assisting with preparation and calculation of tax reporting, including BAS and FBT
Assisting with month end reconciliations
Qualification
Required
Diploma/Degree in Accounting or Finance related fields
Qualified or working towards MIA/ACCA or equivalent
3+ years of experience in accounting roles
Experience with Xero an advantage
General knowledge of Australian GST an advantage
IFRS accounting standards and principles
High levels of attention to detail, organisational and time management skills
Willingness to contribute to and adapt as mx51 continues to grow within the marketplace
