The Sr. Software Program Manager will oversee software release development, manage timelines, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful execution of initiatives.

Responsibilities

Manage the development of software releases and timelines based on business priorities and engineering team capacity
Identify scope and timing risks and partner with the software team to mitigate
Develop dashboards and KPIs to report on program and release progress
Effectively communicate execution status of initiatives and program milestone work to all stakeholders
Coordinate with cross functional teams (software and hardware) to drive successful execution
Negotiate on behalf of the software team scope vs timing tradeoffs
Coordinate software backlog grooming sessions
Partner with the software manager on sprint planning. Identify cross functional dependencies and align sprint plans accordingly
Partner with the product manager on roadmap intake and planning

Qualification

Embedded software developmentEngineering program managementAgile software developmentJiraConfluenceRisk managementCommunication skillsOrganizational skillsCollaboration skills

Required

Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or a related field
4+ years experience in embedded software product development, with at least 2 years experience in embedded software engineering program management
Experience with agile software development using Jira and Confluence is required
Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
Proven track record with software development project planning, progress tracking, and risk management

Preferred

Master's degree a plus
Engineering program management experience in the charging, electric vehicle or renewables power conversion industry is a plus
