Systems Engineering Integration and Test (SEIT) Lead

BAE Systems, Inc. is looking for Systems Engineering Leads to join their cross-functional team focused on designing and testing next-generation Electronic Warfare systems. The role involves leading a team of Systems Engineers, managing system engineering content, and executing systems planning and requirements development.

Responsibilities

Leading a medium or large team of Systems Engineers on EW related programs
Managing all system engineering content and work products
Understanding and implementing the product development process
Schedule and cost account responsibilities for systems team
Execution of systems planning and requirements development
Creation and review of systems requirements to include, software, component, subsystem, and operational concepts
Allocation of requirements to engineering disciplines
Creating system test plans, procedures and reports
Leading product design, development, integration, and verification
Will have outside contact with customers, other contractors and government officials
Manage and participate in trade studies, peer reviews, and customer meetings
Preparing and delivering technical presentations internally and with customers
Monitor and report metrics such as System Technical Performance Measures
Supports proposal development activities, including proposal text development, cost and schedule estimating, and presentation activities

Required

Bachelor's Degree of Science (or equivalent experience in a relevant field) with a minimum work experience of: 12+ Years with BS, 10+ Years with MS, 8+ Year with PHD
Possess an Active US Government security clearance (with ability to possess TS)
Leadership skills and experience directing and mentoring engineers on complex programs
Expert in effectively documenting, communicating, leading and working with a team on designs, results, reports, and presentations
Experience performing systems engineering activities across the development cycle (analysis/decomposition/derivation/allocation of requirements, system modeling & simulation, system design & development, system integration & test)
Experience developing viable concept solutions, identifying and tracking technical risks, and leading technical teams

Preferred

M.S. in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering or a related engineering discipline and 11 years of experience or Ph.D. with 9 years of experience
Project/Program team member responsible for workflow, which is dynamic in nature
Experience with EW and/or Radar and Missile Systems
Experience with technical performance measurements and cost account management
Model based systems engineering experience with tools such as MagicDraw
Familiarity or experience with Agile Systems Engineering
Active United States security clearance, Top Secret, SCI Eligible
