Summer Intern, Power

Responsibilities
Support project management for discrete projects that drive impact and performance in areas critical to the Power & Climate portfolio, in particular Mission 300 and projects in the Coal to Clean portfolio
Conduct quantitative and qualitative analyses to inform the implementation of the team’s strategy 2.0, as well as in support of team programmatic, policy, and research priorities
Drive the success of RF grantees working on Coal to Clean Solution projects by supporting the creation and implementation of joint delivery systems
Prepare background and briefing materials to inform strategic engagements and partnerships
Support in the management of grantees, partners, and contractors to implement the Power & Climate strategy
Advance the team’s thought leadership in advancing equitable energy transitions and ending energy poverty by partnering with the Communications lead, drafting blogs and other materials, and supporting principal-level global engagement
Qualification
Required
Currently enrolled in a graduate program in one of the following areas: sustainable energy, environmental policy, climate, international development or economics, public policy, business, or a related field
Ability to analyze energy access and transition challenges
Skilled in quantitative and qualitative research
Strong writing and verbal skills for clear, impactful outputs
Some experience collaborating across diverse teams and complex environments
Comfortable working in international contexts; knowledge of SDG 7 and SDG 13
Proactive skillset and focused on thriving in team settings. Ability to deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines
Open to graduate students currently enrolled in an accredited program
Work authorization in the United States is required
This is a summer internship, full-time (35 hrs/week) from June through August 2026
The position is based in New York City and requires in-office presence Monday - Thursday
