Responsibilities
Design, deploy, and operate OCI-based infrastructure supporting single-tenant customer environments
Manage and optimize OCI services including:
Compute and VM-based systems
Oracle Kubernetes Engine (OKE)
Object Storage
OCI Load Balancer and Web Application Firewall (WAF)
Autonomous Database and OCI Database systems
OCI IAM, Vault, Logging, and Monitoring
Support hybrid architectures consisting of Kubernetes-based microservices and VM-based applications
Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and OCI Resource Manager
Improve consistency, repeatability, and reliability of environment provisioning
Partner with engineering to introduce automation best practices as maturity grows from an early stage
Reduce manual operational effort through scripting and automation
Operate with a formal SRE mindset focused on system reliability, availability, and resilience
Support and maintain 99 percent uptime targets for enforcement systems
Participate in on-call rotation and lead incident response activities
Perform root cause analysis and author post-incident reviews with actionable improvements
Monitor system health using Zabbix and OCI monitoring tools
Own and support compliance requirements including CJIS, SOC 2 Type II, and similar frameworks
Lead or support:
Vulnerability management processes
Secrets management using OCI Vault and related tooling
Audit evidence collection and compliance documentation
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure secure system design and operational controls
Work closely with software engineering teams on deployment patterns, architecture decisions, and operational readiness
Partner with field operations and implementation teams to support customer deployments and escalations
Act as a player-coach with the expectation of mentoring others and helping shape future DevOps and SRE practices
Contribute to defining standards, runbooks, and operational procedures
Qualification
Required
Minimum 3 to 5 or more years of experience in a DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure engineering role
Hands-on experience operating production workloads in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure
Strong experience with Kubernetes in production environments
Proficiency with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code concepts
Experience supporting high-availability, 24x7 production systems
Familiarity with security and compliance requirements in regulated environments
Experience participating in on-call rotations and incident response
Strong collaboration and communication skills
Must reside in the continental United States
Preferred
Experience supporting government or municipal customers
Background in public safety, automated enforcement, or transportation technology systems
Experience operating single-tenant customer environments
Exposure to CJIS, SOC 2, or similar compliance frameworks
Prior experience mentoring or leading technical peers in an informal or formal capacity
