Responsibilities

Responsible for the advanced activities associated with Project Costing for all Capital projects managed by Project Management and Engineering

Maintain complete, accurate, and timely cost accounting records for Municipal construction projects in accordance with government accounting standards

Verifies funds for expenditures

Provides financial controls through the participation and processing of accounts payables, vouchers, purchasing requisitions, and journal entries

Processes contracts, change orders, agreements, and amendments

Performs other duties as assigned to support the department

Required

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent, and six years of professional accounting, payroll, or similar work experience

Associates degree in Accounting or a related discipline, and four years of professional accounting, payroll, or similar work experience

Bachelors degree in Accounting or a related discipline, and two years of professional accounting, payroll, or similar work experience

A certificate as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) and two years of professional accounting, payroll, or similar work experience
