Assistant Financial Controller
LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking an experienced Assistant Controller to support the financial operations of a growing and reputable organization in the Triad region of North Carolina. The role involves managing financial statements, overseeing accounting functions, and contributing to financial analysis and process improvements.
Responsibilities
Support accurate preparation and presentation of financial statements
Manage monthly general ledger reconciliations and resolve outstanding items
Oversee general accounting functions and support team development
Maintain and update recurring monthly journal entries
Assist with annual audit preparation and communication with external CPA partners
Contribute to financial analysis, reporting enhancements, and process improvements
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
5+ years of progressive accounting experience
Knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and general ledger processes
Strong analytical skills, organizational ability, and attention to detail
Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams
Preferred
CPA certification preferred
Experience in public accounting a plus
