They are seeking a Manufacturing Quote Engineer/Cost Estimator who will determine manufacturing processes, calculate production costs, and prepare quotations for customers.

Responsibilities

Determine manufacturing steps/processes, equipment requirements, programming requirements, set up operations, material, labor, and other items necessary to perform work

Calculate production costs using labor, raw material and processing price estimates

Prepare formal price and delivery quotations for management and customers

Communicate with customers on proposals, quotations, and projects

Assist in the preparation of work instructions for new and revised existing projects

May have other duties assigned or required

Must be a self-starter and able to work effectively and efficiently with limited supervision

Required

Minimum of 5 years of experience working in a job shop environment

3+ years of Machine Shop Estimating/Quoting experience of medium to high complexity parts

Knowledge of setup and operation of a diverse range of machines

Quoting experience must be with CNC Mill and Lathe operations in a Job Shop environment

Extensive experience/knowledge in reading, analyzing, and understanding technical specifications, drawings, bills of material, material, and process specifications, quality documentation, and associated documentation

Extensive knowledge of the types of tooling required for specific applications

Experience with the planning and manufacturing modules of ERP systems

Extensive experience with the machining of different types of materials

Knowledge of practical use of inspection and measurement tools in part dimensions

Must be a self-starter and able to work effectively and efficiently with limited supervision

Must be a US citizen
