Postdoctoral Scholar - Pharmaceutical Sciences
The University of Tennessee Health Science Center is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Research Scholar. This position works closely with the Principal Investigator to identify the endogenous molecular factors and downstream signaling mechanisms regulating arterial lymphatic vessel formation and their role in the development of cardiometabolic diseases.

Responsibilities
Conduct molecular biology assays (including western blotting, PCR, flow cytometry, and immunohistochemistry)
Perform physiological analyses
Maintain and perform in vitro cell culture experiments (primary and cell lines)
Carry out animal surgical and tissue dissection procedures
Contribute to project planning and the development of research protocols, ensuring adherence to sound scientific principles and compliance with all relevant federal guidelines
Draft and edit manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed scientific journals
Provide guidance to other postdoctoral fellows, students, and other research personnel on research techniques, procedures and other technological aspects of experimental work
Present research findings at scientific meetings at local, national, and international levels, and develop postdoctoral fellowship applications
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Doctoral Degree
Strong written and oral communication skills
Highly motivated and productive
Ability to perform experiments independently after minimal training
