Key Account Manager (F/M/X)

The Key Account Manager is responsible for developing business in their territory, managing key accounts, and providing technical and commercial consulting to ensure customer satisfaction and business growth.

Responsibilities
Strategy development: The Key Account Manager is actively looking for new customers and opportunities based on market information in the assigned segment and region. He/she then formulates a sales strategy together with the relevant stakeholders and takes care of its implementation and execution with the aim of expanding the assigned market segment and improving overall business performance
Quotation & negotiation: The Key Account Manager has the responsibility to technically understand the customer requirements and the mtu Kinetic PowerPack. Based on the collected data, with the support of the back office, he/she prepares the project calculations & technical-commercial quotations and provides explanations. When an order is placed, he/she ensures a proper hand-over of the project to the project execution team
Relationship management: The Key Account Manager maintains a good relationship with his stakeholders/ customers/ accounts with the aim of increasing turnover and improving customer satisfaction
Monitor: The Key Account Manager monitors the developments in the market and informs his/her relevant stakeholders regarding relevant developments and potential opportunities
Support & coach: The Key Account Manager supports technically and commercially our partners and subsidiaries by entering joint consultation with (potential) clients to analyse the requirements and advising on the application and the products and solutions to be delivered
Reporting: The Key Account Manager reports (at least) monthly about open quotations, completed orders, lost orders, opportunities and best practices. He/she collects and shares lessons learned on projects to uniformize quotation practices and improve solutions offered
Qualification
Required
Bachelor or Master in electro-mechanical or electrical engineering, energy technology or comparable
Minimum of 5 years' experience in the field within the market of critical infrastructure/ infrastructure/ construction & installation/ energy business, or comparable
Fluent English
Strong analytical capabilities, innovative way of thinking as well as structured and independent way of working
Strong business acumen
High customer orientation as well as team and communication skills
Open to travel
Preferred
Additional languages are beneficial: French, German, Spanish
