Electrical Maintenance Journeyman

Amrize is a company focused on building North America, and they are seeking an Electrical Maintenance Journeyman to join their team. The primary objective of this position is to perform electrical maintenance processes through the proper installation, repair, and preventative maintenance of plant equipment.

Responsibilities

Safely perform simple to complex electrical repairs and installs within a manufacturing setting
Responsible for planning jobs as needed
Responsible for electrical design and installation
Documents new and existing electrical installations as needed
Repairs critical equipment with available parts
Installs, repairs, and performs preventative maintenance on all electrical equipment
Troubleshoots and repairs PLC and HMI systems
Ensures compliance with internal control procedures, unwarranted deviations from established standards, and violations of policy or law
Ability to work independently, self-starter, yet able to participate within a team environment
Ability to operate equipment effectively
Must be able to complete required training
Must be able to communicate to multiple levels within the organization
Must keep all company property in good working order and clean
Must understand equipment functions and processes of the primary areas
Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors

Required

Associate's degree in the electrical or electronics field, or 5+ years of equivalent training or experience
5+ years of work experience
Current electrical journeyman license
Electrical and mechanical skills are required
Good communication skills, both written and oral
Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests

Preferred

Working knowledge of PLC programming, experience with CTI 505 and Allen-Bradley PLCs is preferred
Knowledge of HMI programming is preferred
