Responsibilities

Conduct market, competitor, and customer research to identify emerging opportunities in commercial aerospace, defense, space systems, and advanced air mobility sectors
Track industry trends, regulatory changes, and technological advancements that could impact company strategy
Assist in developing market entry strategies for new products, services, or regions
Generate leads and support the qualification of potential customers, partners, and vendors
Assist in managing the sales pipeline by organizing meetings, presentations, and follow-ups with prospects
Prepare presentations, capability briefs, and other client-facing materials that communicate value propositions effectively
Support the development of proposals, RFI/RFP responses, pricing documents, and contract negotiations
Coordinate with engineering, program management, finance, and legal teams to gather required information for bids
Maintain documentation related to proposals, agreements, and ongoing negotiations
Help maintain strong relationships with key industry stakeholders, including OEMs, Tier-1 suppliers, integrators, and government agencies
Participate in customer meetings, trade shows, and industry events to represent the organization professionally
Maintain CRM systems and track customer engagement activities
Provide input to the business development strategy based on research, client feedback, and market conditions
Support cross-functional alignment with engineering, marketing, operations, and product teams
Contribute to internal reports on sales performance, market insights, and business metrics

Required

Bachelor's degree in business, aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, marketing, or a related field
3+ years of experience in business development, sales, consulting, or market analysis (aerospace/defense industry preferred)
Familiarity with aerospace products, technologies, or regulatory environments is a plus
Strong analytical, research, and critical-thinking abilities
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
Proficiency with CRM platforms (e.g., Dynamics, Salesforce, HubSpot)
Ability to coordinate across departments and manage multiple priorities
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
Self-motivated, proactive, and eager to learn
Comfortable working with technical subject matter and engineering teams
Collaborative team player with a positive attitude
Able to adapt to a rapidly evolving industry and competitive landscape
The use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and following all safety protocol is required at Axillon manufacturing locations
