Responsibilities

Delegate Acquisition and Pipeline Development: Your primary duty is to fill the conference room with qualified merchants and eCommerce professionals. You will develop a prospecting pipeline, actively identify and recruit high-value attendees, and convert prospects into confirmed delegates through persuasive outreach and relationship building
Target Audience Identification and Outreach: You will identify and research potential attendees within our target market (online retail brands, eCommerce companies, technology providers generating $20M-$200M annually), develop targeted outreach strategies, and execute multi-channel campaigns to drive attendance
Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective attendees. This involves understanding their business goals, pain points, and objectives—ensuring the conference delivers genuine value and providing excellent customer service throughout the registration process
Market Research and Strategy Development: Understand the competitive landscape, identify emerging opportunities in the eCommerce and retail tech space, and develop outreach strategies to effectively target high-value prospects and maximize qualified attendance
Sales Pipeline Management: Own your pipeline from prospecting through confirmed attendance. You'll track opportunities, manage follow-ups, and consistently report on progress toward attendance targets and attendee quality metrics
Collaboration with Conference and Marketing Teams: Work closely with conference planning teams and marketing colleagues to ensure messaging resonates with prospects and that conference content meets attendee expectations
Reporting and Analysis: Monitor pipeline metrics, analyze conversion rates and trends, and report progress to leadership. You'll continuously assess what's working and adjust tactics to improve both volume and quality of attendees
During Conference: Be visible and present at the event to build in-person relationships with attendees, gather feedback, and ensure they're having a great experience
Post-Conference Follow-Up: After each conference, follow up with attendees to gather feedback, understand their experience, and secure commitments for future events

Required

Minimum 2 years of experience in conference delegate sales (non-negotiable requirement)
Proven ability to own execution for ticket sales across multiple conferences
Experienced in prospecting and pipeline management with strong closing ability
Excellent email writer able to adapt to different tones with impeccable attention to detail
Ability to work well with other team members with constant collaboration
Creative and positive mindset with a problem-solving approach
Knowledgeable in tools such as Hubspot, Instantly, Google Sheets, and CRM platforms
Data-driven mentality with ability to track and optimize conversion metrics
