Postdoctoral Researcher
The University of Michigan is seeking two Postdoctoral Researchers to join their dynamic and collaborative research environment. The positions focus on advancing nuclear science and technology through robotics and exploring the physics and chemistry of complex fluids.

Responsibilities
Robots for Nuclear (both fission and fusion)
Physics and Chemistry of Complex Fluids (including molten salts, concentrated battery electrolyte solutions, and glass-forming liquids)
Qualification
Required
Postdocs are preferred, but I'm happy to wait for exceptional PhD students to start in the Fall
Preferred background: PCB design and fabrication; electronics design and debugging; microcontroller, embedded systems; legged locomotion (gait generation, real-time loops, motor drivers/FOC, sensor fusion, EKF/UKF, contact-aided odometry, etc.); power/battery management system; real-time OS, ROS 2; sensing technologies (UWB, proximity, accelerometer, gyrometer, etc.) and near-field communication technologies; swarm robots
Preferred background: MD simulation; rare-event sampling; mid-scale C++ code development; neutron/X-ray scattering; liquid state physics; glass transition; non-equilibrium statistical mechanics
