Responsibilities
Lead the charge on capital projects—from installation and supervision to start-up and troubleshooting, ensuring everything runs flawlessly
Design innovative mechanical systems including advanced process equipment, pollution control solutions, and precision piping layouts
Collaborate with electrical engineers to seamlessly integrate electrical utilities and control systems into your designs, coordinating through successful start-up
Own the procurement process by writing detailed equipment and construction specifications, evaluating bids, and making strategic purchase recommendations
Transform concepts into reality by implementing new system designs from initial idea to finished drawings, fabrication, and installation
Deliver complete project packages—drawings, specifications, and equipment information—ensuring every detail is ready for execution
Qualification
Required
Project Design Engineer I is an entry level position requiring 0-5 years of experience
A minimum of a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering is required
Demonstrated AutoCAD minimum competency for both design and drafting
Computer Skills: Excel, Word, PowerPoint as a minimum
Self-starter with interest in understanding mechanical design in a dynamic manufacturing environment. Requires hands on design approach
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Preferred
MS or MBA is preferred
Basic project management experience preferred
