Responsibilities

Begins to identify issues and applies accounting principles/assurance procedures

Learns to apply Information Technology tools

Receives exposure to the preparation of business correspondence

Receives direct experience working with clients

Completes various audit workpapers and tasks as assigned; examples include cash disbursements, cash balance year-end testing, accounts payable testing, repairs and maintenance, and other areas as assigned

Foot & reference reports before they are finalized

Hones communication skills and keeps manager informed of work assignments’ status

Develops strong time and work management skills

Gains a deep understanding of the firm and its capabilities/services

Fosters environment of collaboration

Learns about and develops a growth mindset and approach to work

Understands and develops strengths utilizing the StrengthsFinder assessment

Cultivates a sense of importance around engaging in community service and leadership
