Responsibilities

Provide support to the specialized simulation training needs for educational programs

Review usage schedules periodically and coordinate schedule adjustments as necessary

Maintain accountability for all simulation and office automation equipment for the department

Represent the simulation center at conferences and demonstrations of new simulation technology

Research, record and respond to requests for simulation use and integration

Participate in the development of lesson plans to support trauma and medical readiness training

Update, maintain, and manage databases for the Simulation Service to ensure accurate and timely information management

Provide technical and programming support for operating the state-of-the-art Human Patient Simulators and other simulation systems

Required

One year of specialized experience which includes utilizing trainers, simulators, or other medical equipment to support Graduate Medical Education or Operational Medicine; coordinating medical training; and troubleshooting technical issues with training equipment

One full year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Education

Successful completion of all the requirements for a bachelor's degree with Superior Academic Achievement

A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%

If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program

Proof of U.S. Citizenship

Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation

A Personnel Security Investigation is required

Selectees will be required to sign a statement (Condition of Employment) consenting to seasonal influenza vaccinations or must provide a recognized exemption

Immunization screening is required. Hepatitis B immunization is required for all positions with direct patient contact
