Responsibilities
Cutting grass and weeds
Raking grass and trash
Trimming, cutting down, and removing trees and shrubs
Dig and refill ditches
Load and unload trucks
Condition walls and woodwork prior to painting
Conduct animal recovery, pickup and disposal tasks
Work outside in inclement weather conditions
Perform light to moderate lifting as needed
Lift up to 80 lbs on rare occasions
Perform minor repairs to sewers, septic tanks, catch basins and manholes
Drive a City vehicle not requiring a CDL
Wash and steam vehicles, tools and equipment in the automotive shop
Be available during City of Miami emergencies as determined by City Administrators, Emergency Manager, or City Officials
Qualification
Required
Six (6) months of experience in performing unskilled labor
A valid driver's license from any state (Equivalent to a State of Florida Class E) may be utilized upon application, however a State of Florida Driver's License (Class E or higher) is required prior to appointment and must be maintained valid throughout employment
Eighth grade education preferred
