USAJOBS is seeking an interdisciplinary professional for the position of Ops Research Analyst/Electronics Engineer/Physicist/Mathematician/Computer Scientist. The primary purpose of this role is to serve as the Modeling and Simulation Senior Analyst to enhance NASIC integration in Air Force analysis activities focused on force design and acquisition capabilities development decisions.

Responsibilities

Serves as a modeling, simulation, and analysis (MS&A) senior analyst to the Chief Modeling and Simulation Officer (CMSO), to integrate NASIC Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis with AF analysis community activities focused on force design and acquisition capabilities development
Prototypes techniques and supports NASIC analysis squadrons with the development of digital representations of forces, tactics, and system of system capabilities that support integrated blue/red analysis
Improves documentation of digital tradecraft and associated assessment plans in concert with NASIC/A9D with specific focus of MBSE approaches
Represents NASIC, on AF M&S based analytic forums. Works with SAF/SA, HAF A57, ICC, AFMC/IDO on efforts to prioritize requirements for digital production that directly supports AF analytic enterprise efforts for force design and acquisition requirements and capabilities analysis

All new DCIPS employees are required to complete a two-year DCIPS trial period
If authorized, PCS will be paid IAW JTR and AF Regulations. If receiving an authorized PCS, you may be subject to completing/signing a CONUS agreement

Requires a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Engineering, physics, computer science, from an accredited institution, related engineering disciplines, or its equivalent experience
A professional degree at the bachelor's level from an ABET accredited institution is required
This is an Interdisciplinary position that may be filled as a Ops Research Analyst GG-1515-13; Electronics Engineer GG-0855-13; Computer Scientist GG-1550-13; Mathematician GG-1520-13; or Physicist GG-1310-13

Comprehensive knowledge of the concepts, principles and practices of intelligence research, analysis, and dissemination applications that includes the evaluation of many diverse sources of information utilizing multiple intelligence information systems and a knowledge of a broad spectrum of multi-disciplinary intelligence processes and techniques in order to develop intelligence capability and threat assessments
Knowledge of multi-disciplinary topics such as operations research, electrical engineering, computer science, physics, mathematics as well as concepts, principles, standards, methods, techniques, practices, and procedures to effectively apply engineering theories, principles, and concepts to new threat analysis applications and software developments
Knowledge of principles, concepts, and methodologies of modeling and simulation, all-source scientific and technical intelligence (S&TI) analysis including Intelligence Community Directives such as ICD 203/206, software development, technical project management, and associated production processes/policies to perform modeling, simulation, and analysis across the spectrum of the National Air and Space Intelligence Center's mission
Knowledge of the mission, role, function, organizational structure, operation, and policy of the DoD, Air Force, and Intelligence Community; and their communication and information infrastructures and organizations
Skill and ability to gather and analyze a variety of program information, make sound judgments concerning task progress and effectively communicate, including the presentation of technical problems and results in a logical and concise manner; skill and ability to apply practical thinking skills, attention to detail, balanced decision making, conceptual thinking, consistency, goal directedness, problem and situation analysis, reliability, and theoretical problem solving, emotional control, handling stress, initiative, job ethics, meeting standards, listening skills, personal accountability, commitment, and drive
Ability to communicate both orally and in writing, clearly, concisely, and with technical accuracy; and ability to plan and organize work, and consult effectively with co-workers and peers
Expert ability to collaborate and effectively work within a group setting, maintain effective working relationships with a variety of technical representatives, peers, and government contractors; and skill in presenting technical findings and evaluations clearly, logically and concisely in a variety of verbal, written and graphical formats
This position is covered by the DCIPS, and as such will subject the incumbent to those examinations and or tests that are necessary to obtain and retain a security clearance and any special accesses required by the position in accordance with AFI 36-1101
This position is a testing designated position and as such requires periodic urinalysis testing
Position is designated special-sensitive and requires eligibility for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), other intelligence-related Special Sensitive information, or involvement in Top Secret Special Access Programs (SAP) to fully perform the duties and responsibilities of the position
A non-disclosure agreement must be signed
Drug Testing: This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Demand Reduction Program. Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing
Education must be accredited by an accrediting institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education in order for it to be credited towards qualifications
