Education Administration Specialist
NEOGOV is seeking an Education Administration Specialist to join the Pennsylvania Department of Education. In this vital role, you will serve as a Board Administrator, ensuring school compliance with the Private Licensed Schools Act and managing communications with postsecondary occupational training providers.

Responsibilities
Serve as a Board Administrator, as staff to the State Board of Private Licensed Schools
Correspond with the schools on behalf of the Board
Review, audit, and evaluate information and documents submitted to the Board for consideration
Communicate the requirements for compliance with the Private Licensed Schools Act back to the school
Work independently to prioritize and manage incoming requests, applications, renewals, audits, and correspondence
Work closely with colleagues, the Administrative Assistant, the Supervisor, and the Division Chief to ensure consistent communications are being sent out to the schools
Qualification
Required
One year of experience as an Education Administration Associate (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
Four years of professional experience in education including at least two years in educational administration; or
Any equivalent combination of experience and training
This particular position also requires possession of at least one year of full-time professional experience educating students in adult occupational training programs; or at least one year of full-time professional experience working in postsecondary education administration
You must meet the PA residency requirement
This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law. Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance
