Center Director
The Department of Homeland Security, through U.S. Customs and Border Protection, is seeking a Center Director for its Office of Field Operations in East Point, GA. This role involves directing and managing all activities within a Center, executing national trade policy, and overseeing operational and tactical trade responsibilities.

Responsibilities
Managing organizational changes and directing the oversight of operational and tactical trade responsibilities within a center
Coordinating with senior level law enforcement managers to manage and approve significant enforcement actions, including criminal investigations and prosecutions
Ensuring Implementation of a comprehensive, nationwide risk segmentation strategy to improve the facilitation and increase the flow of trusted traffic for legitimate trade within an assigned industry and endure that enforcement activities are focused on high-risk shipments
Responsible for overall management of the goals and objectives for supervisors and managers of subordinate employees. Planning work to be accomplished by subordinates, sets and adjusts priorities, level of difficulty, and capabilities of employees
Developing employee performance standards and making formal and informal appraisal of work, giving advice, counsel and/or instructions to employees as required

Meet all qualification requirements, including education if applicable to this position, subject to verification at any stage of the application process
Meet all applicable Time in Grade requirements (current federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade or equivalent grade band in the federal service) by 01/16/2026
Your resume must explicitly indicate how you meet the requirement for specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level
Possess 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as interpreting CBP laws, regulations, and precedents
Act as a CBP liaison with Congress, the trade community, and various outside review groups
Supervise substantial coordination and integration of several professional, scientific, technical, or administrative work assignments
Develop and long-range planning of national policies and processing strategic goals and objectives
Direct, plan and execute assignments, projects, studies, or investigations intended to explore and resolve major operational and law enforcement problems
You must possess a current valid State driver's license at the time of appointment
You may be required to obtain a Secret or higher level clearance for this position
