Administrative Assistant 1 (Permanent) - Bureau of Forestry
The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is seeking a skilled and motivated office support professional to join the Bureau of Forestry's Conservation Science and Ecological Resources Division. The role involves managing budgeting, grants, and contracts, as well as providing administrative support to ensure accurate budgeting and reporting.

Responsibilities
Utilize independent judgment to manage budgeting, grants, contracts, permitting and licensing programs, as well as database management for the division
Create a detailed spending plan for special funds and the operational budget
Review payroll reports to identify coding errors and ensure accurate budgeting
Analyze commitments and expenditures to identify issues that need further discussion
Prepare reports on funding, budget changes, and spend-down requests as required
Manage the Wild Resource Conservation Program (WRCP) grants, which entails monitoring budget expenditures and suggesting necessary budget adjustments
Handle requests for re-budgeting and grant extensions
Inform grantees about upcoming grant expirations and potential adjustments
Reallocate funds among budget line items to fulfill grant requirements
Qualification
Required
Such training as may have been gained through graduation from a four year college or university or any equivalent combination of experience and training
You must meet the PA residency requirement
You must be able to perform essential job functions
