The role involves participating in a comprehensive training program to develop administrative and technical competence while gaining an understanding of state government organizations and operations.

Complete a structured, 12-month training program where you will develop an understanding of commonwealth hiring processes and procedures for both Civil Service and Non-Civil Service positions

Learn the fundamentals of commonwealth hiring processes and procedures

Learn the best methods for posting and advertising positions for achieving optimal candidates for consideration

Perform background checks for selected candidates which may include various clearances

Review and propose salary information

Work closely with higher-level human resource professionals to grow your knowledge base and expand your skills to prepare you for promotion to higher-level human resource positions

Required

A bachelor's degree, including 15 credits in public administration, business administration, or a closely related field; or

You must meet the PA residency requirement
