Responsibilities
Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for steel and structural steel packages
Analyze project plans and specifications to identify cost implications
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for estimates
Review and assess additional costs and changes in project scope
Maintain comprehensive records of estimates and supporting documents
Provide cost analysis and recommendations to project teams
Participate in bid meetings and negotiate pricing with suppliers and subcontractors
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in estimating, with a focus on steel and structural steel projects
Proficient in estimating software and tools
Strong understanding of construction processes and materials, particularly steel
Excellent analytical and mathematical skills
Strong communication and negotiation skills
