Responsibilities
Build software for internal tools and customer-facing experiences
Engineer reusable components and libraries for regular use
Translate designs and wireframes into high-quality, production-ready code
Troubleshoot UX issues and fix edge cases with speed and care
Collaborate with internal stakeholders on core workflows, tooling, and product improvements
Document changes, manage iterations, and help roadmap future improvements
Participate fully in weekly sprints with urgency, ownership, and positivity
Set direction for software design internally and externally when needed
Take ownership of the user experience and continuously improve it
Qualification
Required
Strong grounding in CS fundamentals with broad backend understanding
3+ years of Python experience building production systems
Strong communication skills (including async via Slack)
Comfortable balancing design, planning, and implementation
Thrive in an early-stage environment: you like building structure where it doesn't exist yet
High attention to detail and a high bar for quality
Preferred
PostgreSQL experience (schemas, migrations, query performance)
Startup experience (or the temperament: high ownership, low ego, high output)
Familiarity with Heroku and AWS
Interest in personalization systems and feedback loops (using data to improve product)
